Biography

Robert Marion La Follette was born in Primrose, Wisconsin in 1855 and died in 1925. He worked as a lawyer, judge, and writer, and served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1885 to 1891, as Wisconsin's governor from 1901 to 1906, and as U.S. senator from Wisconsin for the last twenty years of his life. In 1924 he ran for president as the nominee of the Progressive Party, which he had formed.
