Biography

Steven Holcomb was born on April 14, 1980, in Park City, Utah. He competed as a bobsledder from 1998 until his death on May 6, 2017. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, he won the four-man bobsled event for the United States, which was the country's first gold medal in that event since 1948. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, he finished second in both the four-man and two-man bobsled events.
