Biography
Talcott Parsons was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 1902 and died in 1979. A sociologist and biologist, he earned a PhD in economics and joined Harvard University's faculty in 1927, remaining there until 1973. He was among the first professors appointed to Harvard's sociology department in 1930 and contributed to the establishment of the Department of Social Relations at Harvard.
