Glyndwr besieges Caernarfon Castle in 1403, the great Edwardian symbol of English conquest. The castle garrison is small and under pressure but the massive walls hold. Glyndwr lacks artillery sufficient to reduce the walls and eventually raises the siege. The attempt demonstrates his ambition to destroy the symbols of English domination.
