The Battle

History & Significance

Glyndwr makes a second attempt to take Caernarfon in 1404, this time with larger forces and support from French allies who supply some artillery. The castle again holds though the town is devastated. The continued failure to take the great Edwardian fortress limits Glyndwr symbolic conquest of north Wales.
