History & Significance

Tre Ceiri (Town of Giants) on the Llyn Peninsula is one of the best-preserved Iron Age hillforts in Wales with stone-walled roundhouses still visible. Its commanding position overlooking the Irish Sea made it strategically important for monitoring Irish sea lanes. Agricola capture of the peninsula would have included this formidable site.
