Compton Wynyates in Warwickshire was assaulted by Parliamentary forces in June 1644 after the house had been reoccupied by Royalists following an earlier surrender. Parliamentary forces stormed the walled gardens and outer works before forcing entry to the house itself. The interior was ransacked and the house damaged during the fighting.
