History & Significance

The young Prince Henry (the future Henry V) won a significant victory against a Glyndŵr raiding force near Grosmont Castle. The victory helped establish Henry's military reputation. It was one of several reverses in 1405 that began the long decline of Glyndŵr's rebellion.
