Prince Henry Prince of Wales begins systematic siege of Aberystwyth Castle using heavy artillery brought up from England. Welsh garrison under Rhys Ddu resists desperately. English bombards breach outer defenses forcing negotiations but garrison holds out again when relief promised. The siege drags into 1408 exhausting both sides.
