Grim's Ditch is a linear earthwork monument consisting of a bank and ditch that runs through north Oxfordshire between Out Wood and Berring's Wood. The monument is presumed to date from the Iron Age and represents a territorial boundary or defensive line constructed during prehistory. The earthwork survives as a prominent feature in the landscape, with the characteristic bank and ditch formation typical of such linear boundaries from this period. This particular section forms part of a longer system of similar works in the region that may have served to demarcate land holdings or control movement across the landscape during the Iron Age occupation of Oxfordshire.
