Grim's Ditch is a linear earthwork of Iron Age date running through north Oxfordshire, of which this section between Out Wood and Berring's Wood forms part of a substantial defensive or territorial boundary system. The monument consists of a ditch with associated bank, typical of the period's landscape divisions, and extends for approximately one kilometre across this portion of the Oxfordshire countryside. The earthwork is believed to date to the Iron Age, when such linear features served important functions in demarcating land holdings or providing defence for communities and their resources.
