The site comprises Bronze Age settlement remains, including two hut circles constructed of stone, together with associated cairnfields and individual cairns that attest to prehistoric land use and burial practice on Dartmoor. A medieval warren, evidenced by the earthwork features at the location, indicates later exploitation of the moorland for rabbit management. The monuments collectively represent successive phases of human occupation and resource exploitation spanning from the Bronze Age through the medieval period, demonstrating the long history of settlement and land use on Dartmoor's high ground.
