Arrat's Mill barrows is a Bronze Age funerary monument located in Angus, Scotland, situated 535 metres north-east of Arrat's Mill itself. The site comprises one or more burial mounds typical of the early second millennium BC, when communities in north-east Scotland constructed such monuments to commemorate their dead. The barrows occupy a landscape underlain by sandstone of the Arbuthnott-Garvock Group, with subordinate bands of conglomerate, siltstone and mudstone dating to the Pragian period of the Old Red Sandstone.
The geological foundation of red and grey sandstones would have been familiar to the Bronze Age inhabitants of Angus, who regularly extracted suitable stone for domestic and monumental purposes.
