The site consists of enclosures positioned approximately 230 metres south-west and 280 metres south-south-east of the named location, representing the physical remains of agricultural land management and domestic occupation typical of early modern rural settlement in the region. The survival of these enclosure boundaries and settlement traces provides evidence of post-medieval land use patterns and the organisation of farming communities in Angus during this transitional period in Scottish rural history.
