Burrian is a broch situated on the north-east shore of the Loch of Harray in Orkney, Scotland. The monument dates to the Iron Age, representing one of the distinctive fortified circular stone towers characteristic of northern Scotland during this period. The broch would have served defensive and residential functions for its inhabitants, typical of such structures built between the first century BC and first century AD. Though now ruined, the site remains an important archaeological record of Iron Age settlement patterns and architectural practices in the Orkney Islands.
