Chun Downs prehistoric landscape complex is a concentration of Bronze Age and Iron Age monuments situated on the moorland plateau near Morvah in west Cornwall. The complex comprises Chun Cromlech, a Neolithic chambered tomb, Chun Castle, an Iron Age hill fort with substantial stone ramparts, and a Bronze Age barrow located approximately 180 metres southwest of Chun Farm, representing successive phases of prehistoric occupation and burial practice across the landscape. Chun Castle itself is a well-preserved circular or oval enclosure defended by multiple stone-built ramparts, typical of Iron Age fortified settlements in Cornwall, whilst the cromlech demonstrates earlier Neolithic funerary traditions. Together these monuments illustrate the long sequence of human activity and settlement on the high ground of the Cornish peninsula from the Neolithic period through the Iron Age.
