Coldrum Megalithic Tomb is a Neolithic chambered long barrow situated near Trottiscliffe in Kent, dating to approximately 4000 BCE or the early Neolithic period. The monument consists of a stone burial chamber constructed from large sarsen blocks, originally covered by an elongated earthen mound, of which substantial traces remain. Excavations conducted in the early twentieth century revealed the remains of numerous individuals interred within the chamber, indicating its use as a communal burial site over an extended period. The tomb represents an important example of megalithic funerary architecture in south-eastern England and provides significant archaeological evidence for Neolithic settlement and burial practices in the region.
