Culfosie hut circle is a prehistoric domestic structure located approximately 430 metres north-east of Culfosie in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The site represents a form of settlement characteristic of the Bronze Age or Iron Age periods, when such circular or sub-circular dwellings were commonly constructed in upland and marginal areas of Scotland. The hut circle would originally have consisted of a stone or timber-built superstructure raised upon a roughly circular foundation, with the interior likely recessed into the ground to provide insulation and structural stability. The monument survives as an earthwork feature and remains archaeologically significant as evidence of prehistoric settlement patterns and land use in the north-east of Scotland.
