Burn of Badanseaneach is a shieling group located approximately 2140 metres west-north-west of Balronald in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Shielings were temporary pastoral settlements used seasonally for transhumance, the practice of moving livestock to upland pastures during summer months, and this site reflects the medieval and early modern organisation of Highland pastoral agriculture. The group comprises the remains of structures associated with this transhumant pastoralism, situated in the upland landscape where such activities would have been concentrated. The site is recorded with Historic Environment Scotland under designation reference SM11472 as part of the archaeological record of Scottish Highland settlement and land use practices.
