Braes of Fintoch is a shieling group located 760 metres south-west of Cairn of Gilderoy in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The site comprises the remains of temporary pastoral settlements used during the transhumance season, when livestock was driven to upland summer pastures. Shielings of this type are typically dated to the medieval and early modern periods, with evidence of use extending from at least the medieval era through to the eighteenth century. The physical remains consist of low stone structures characteristic of shieling bothies, which would have provided basic shelter for herders during the grazing season.
