Drumfane motte is a medieval motte and bailey situated in the townland of Drumfane near Ballymena in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The site consists of an earthen mound typical of twelfth-century Anglo-Norman fortifications, representing the period of Norman expansion and settlement in Ulster. Such mottes served as defensive strongholds and administrative centres for the colonisation of newly conquered or controlled territories in medieval Ireland.
