Elrig Farm cairn is a Bronze Age funerary monument located in Wigtownshire, south-west Scotland. The cairn lies approximately 340 metres south-west of Elrig Farm and survives as a stone mound typical of Neolithic and Bronze Age burial practices in south-west Scotland. Such cairns were constructed as repositories for cremated or inhumed human remains and served important ceremonial and commemorative functions within prehistoric communities. The site is recorded within the national heritage database and represents the broader tradition of cairn-building that characterised the prehistoric periods in south-west Scotland.
