Elrig Fort is an Iron Age fortified settlement located in Wigtownshire, south-western Scotland. The fort occupies a defensible position approximately 230 metres west of Elrig and comprises earthwork fortifications typical of Iron Age settlement patterns in the region. As a scheduled monument, it represents an important example of Iron Age settlement archaeology in Dumfries and Galloway, contributing to understanding of later prehistoric occupation and defence strategies in south-western Scotland.
