Gallows Knap is a Bronze Age burial mound situated approximately 450 metres south of Dalhousie Lodge in Angus, Scotland. The barrow represents a typical example of funerary monument construction from the Bronze Age period, when such earthen mounds were erected over cremated or inhumed human remains as markers of burial sites and focal points for ritual activity. The monument survives as an upstanding earthwork within the landscape, preserving evidence of prehistoric mortuary practices in eastern Scotland.
