Green Knowe is a platform settlement located in Peeblesshire, Scotland, dating to the Iron Age. The site comprises an artificially levelled platform constructed into a hillside, a characteristic feature of prehistoric domestic settlements in the Scottish Borders region. Such platform settlements served as the foundation for timber roundhouses and represent a significant phase of permanent settlement and agricultural occupation during the Iron Age period. The monument survives as an earthwork feature and contributes to understanding patterns of domestic settlement and land use in the upland areas of the Scottish Borders during the pre-Roman Iron Age.
