Hasting Hill cursus and causewayed enclosure is a Neolithic monument complex located approximately 600 metres south of Hasting Hill Farm in County Durham. The site comprises two distinct earthwork features: a cursus, a long narrow enclosed ceremonial or processional way, and a causewayed enclosure, both typical of early Neolithic settlement and ritual activity in Britain dating to around 4000 to 3500 BCE. The causewayed enclosure consists of interrupted ditch segments forming an incomplete circuit, whilst the cursus represents a substantial linear earthwork of archaeological significance. These monuments reflect the early agricultural communities and their ceremonial practices during the Neolithic period in the north-east of England.
