Heavy Anti-Aircraft Battery (P3 Verne), located 275 metres south-west of Fancy's Farm in Dorset, is a Second World War defensive installation. The battery forms part of the extensive anti-aircraft defences constructed across southern England during the 1940s to protect against German air attack. The site comprises the physical remains of gun emplacements and associated structures typical of heavy anti-aircraft batteries of this period, which were equipped to engage enemy aircraft at altitude. As a designated ancient monument, it represents an important example of Britain's home defence infrastructure during the latter stages of the Second World War.
