Kirkholm Hill is a post-medieval enclosure situated approximately 500 metres west of Dinwoodie Lodge Cottage in Dumfriesshire, Scotland. The monument consists of a rectangular or sub-rectangular earthwork defined by banks and ditches, characteristic of early modern agricultural management and land organisation in the Scottish Borders region. Dating to the post-medieval period, the enclosure reflects the intensification of pastoral farming practices and the formalisation of field boundaries that occurred across southern Scotland during the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries. The site forms part of the wider landscape of field systems and settlement remains that document the development of rural economy and land use in this part of Dumfriesshire.
