Lochmaben Stone is a Bronze Age standing stone situated in Dumfriesshire, Scotland. The monument consists of a single upright stone, its form typical of the ritual and territorial markers erected across Britain during the Bronze Age, roughly between 2300 and 800 BC. The stone rises from bedrock composed of Triassic sandstone and conglomerate, the layered deposits that underlie much of this part of south-western Scotland and date from around 250 million years ago.
