Lock 12 is a canal lock forming part of the Lagan Navigation, an eighteenth-century waterway scheme in County Antrim. Constructed during the expansion of the navigation system in the latter half of the eighteenth century, the lock represents the infrastructure required to manage water levels and permit passage of commercial traffic along the river.
