Mull of Galloway is a Iron Age fortified settlement located on the narrow isthmus at the southern tip of the Galloway peninsula in Wigtownshire, Scotland. The site comprises defensive works positioned at both the northern and southern ends of the isthmus, strategically controlling access to what would have functioned as a defensible promontory settlement. The fortifications date to the Iron Age period and represent a significant example of prehistoric settlement strategy in south-west Scotland, utilising natural topography to create a secure settlement zone.
