Offa's Dyke: Vron Section is a segment of the substantial linear earthwork constructed during the late eighth century, traditionally attributed to King Offa of Mercia. This section of the dyke, located in Denbighshire, comprises an earth and stone bank with an associated ditch, forming part of the extensive frontier work that once stretched for over 150 kilometres along the Welsh-English border. The Vron Section represents the engineering ambition of Anglo-Saxon Mercia and reflects the territorial consolidation and defence strategies of the period. As a scheduled monument under Welsh heritage protection, it preserves evidence of early medieval boundary demarcation and remains a significant landscape feature of Early Medieval date.
