Sourhope is an unenclosed platform settlement located approximately 1400 metres north of Sourhope in Roxburghshire, Scottish Borders. The site consists of a series of levelled platforms cut into the hillside, characteristic of prehistoric and early medieval domestic occupation in the Scottish uplands. Based on its morphology and location within the landscape, the settlement is believed to date to the later prehistoric or early medieval period, though precise dating remains uncertain without excavation. Such unenclosed platforms represent small-scale pastoral communities whose settlement patterns reflect adaptation to upland terrain and reflect patterns of occupation and land use in the Borders region during antiquity.
