Spott Farm, Enclosure S of, is a post-medieval field enclosure located in East Lothian, Scotland. The monument represents the agricultural reorganisation of the Scottish Lowlands during the early modern period, when traditional open-field systems were progressively replaced by enclosed fields bounded by stone walls or hedgerows. The enclosure forms part of the wider landscape of agricultural improvement that characterised East Lothian from the seventeenth century onwards, a county recognised for its advanced farming practices and progressive implementation of landscape reorganisation. The physical remains consist of the boundary features defining the enclosed field, which reflect the systematic division and management of rural land during this formative period of Scottish agricultural development.
