Tinkinswood Chambered Tomb is a Neolithic long barrow situated in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, and represents one of the most substantial megalithic monuments of its kind in Britain. Dating to the Neolithic period, approximately 4000–3000 BCE, the tomb comprises a large stone burial chamber constructed beneath an elongated earthen mound, with a distinctive capstone weighing some 40 tonnes among the heaviest known examples. The monument was built for collective burial practices and served ritual and funerary functions across several generations of Neolithic communities.
