Tramroad Bridge, Bailey's Tramroad, Govilon is a post-medieval transport structure dating from the early nineteenth century. The bridge carried Bailey's Tramroad, which formed part of the network of mineral railways developed in south Wales to transport iron and coal from the interior valleys to the Brecon and Abergavenny Canal at Govilon. Constructed to span a local watercourse, the bridge exemplifies the modest but essential engineering infrastructure that underpinned the region's industrial development during the Napoleonic era. It survives as a scheduled ancient monument, preserving evidence of the tramroad system that connected the upland ironworks and collieries to water transport.
