Daniel Bashiel Warner was born in Baltimore County, Maryland in 1815 and died in 1880. He served as the third Secretary of State under President Joseph Jenkins Roberts from 1854 to 1856, then as the fifth vice president of Liberia under President Stephen Allen Benson from 1860 to 1864. Warner was the third president of Liberia, holding office from 1864 to 1868.
