Eddy Arnold was born in Henderson, Tennessee in 1918 and died in 2008. A country music singer, radio personality, bandleader, songwriter, and musician, he charted 147 songs on the Billboard country music charts, second only to George Jones, and sold more than 85 million records. He was a member of the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame, and appeared on Country Music Television's 2003 list of "The 40 Greatest Men of Country Music" at number 22.
