The Lincolnshire men dispersed after royal promises. When the promises were not kept risings broke out again in 1537 and the leaders were executed.
The Battle

History & Significance

A major popular rising in Lincolnshire against Henry VIII religious changes and the dissolution of monasteries. It preceded the larger Pilgrimage of Grace in the north. The rebels dispersed when the king promised to hear grievances.
