This monument comprises a late sixteenth-century house with associated gardens and dovecote, situated approximately three hundred metres west of Mill Farm in Northamptonshire. The dovecote represents a significant survival of domestic agricultural infrastructure from this period, when such structures were essential components of rural estates for the management and provision of poultry. The house and its ancillary buildings reflect the settlement patterns and domestic arrangements typical of the Tudor period in the English Midlands.
