Alloa Glass Works glass cone is a surviving industrial structure dating from the eighteenth century, located in Clackmannanshire, Scotland. The cone represents the distinctive architectural form developed for glassmaking furnaces during the Georgian period, when Alloa emerged as a significant centre of glass production. Such conical structures served a functional purpose in concentrating heat and facilitating the glassmaking process, whilst their substantial masonry construction made them landmarks within the industrial landscape.
