Boghead is a platform settlement located approximately 500 metres south-west of Boghead in Lanarkshire, Scotland. The site consists of a series of levelled platforms cut into the hillside, a characteristic constructional approach of prehistoric communities in the region. Though the precise dating remains uncertain without excavation, platform settlements of this type in Lanarkshire typically date to the Bronze Age or Iron Age periods. Such settlements represent evidence of domestic occupation and agricultural activity during the later prehistoric period in south-central Scotland.
