Bowhouse is a Post-Medieval circular enclosure situated near Polmont in Stirlingshire, Scotland. The monument consists of a roughly circular earthwork, representing a field boundary or defensive structure characteristic of agricultural and settlement practices during the Post-Medieval period. Such enclosures in central Scotland reflect the evolution of land organisation and property demarcation during the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries, when communities adapted their landscapes to changing economic and social demands.
