Calderbank Iron Works is a set of furnaces and associated industrial structures located in Lanarkshire, Scotland, representing the region's significant iron-smelting heritage of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The works comprised blast furnaces and related installations typical of Scottish ironmaking during the period of industrial expansion, when Lanarkshire became one of Britain's principal centres of iron production. The surviving remains document the technological infrastructure and scale of operations characteristic of early industrial ironworks in the Lowlands. The site reflects the economic importance of iron manufacture to the region during the height of Scottish industrial development.
