Float Bay Fort is an Iron Age fortification located in Wigtownshire, south-west Scotland. The site comprises a defended enclosure typical of the Iron Age period in south-western Scotland, positioned to take advantage of its coastal location south-east of Float Bay. As with many Iron Age forts in this region, it would have served defensive and settlement functions, representing the territorial and social organisation of Iron Age communities in Galloway. The fort's proximity to the coast suggests it may have had significance for maritime activity and trade during the Iron Age period.
