Hamnavoe is a burnt mound situated approximately 300 metres south-east of Manic in Shetland, Scotland. The site comprises a mound formed by the accumulation of heat-fractured stone and charred material, characteristic of Bronze Age cooking and processing sites known across northern Britain. Such burnt mounds, also termed cooking mounds or fulachtaí fia in Celtic regions, typically date to the Bronze Age and represent evidence of thermal technology employed for heating water and preparing food or textiles.
