March Cairn is a Neolithic chambered cairn located 650 metres south-east of Priesthoulland in the Esha Ness area of Shetland, Scotland. The monument dates to the Neolithic period and represents the type of burial structure characteristic of northern British prehistoric communities, constructed to serve as a communal or family tomb. The cairn comprises a stone mound incorporating an internal burial chamber, typical of chambered cairns found throughout the Scottish islands and mainland. Like other monuments of this class in Shetland, it provides evidence of early agricultural settlement and funerary practices in the archipelago during the Neolithic era.
