High Mathernock is an anti-aircraft battery site dating from the Second World War, located in Renfrewshire, Scotland. The site comprises the remains of a defended position established to protect industrial and strategic assets in the region during the period of intensive air warfare. The battery would have been equipped with anti-aircraft guns and supporting defensive infrastructure, positioned to provide air defence cover across the surrounding landscape. Such installations formed part of the wider network of anti-aircraft defences deployed across Scotland during 1940-1945 to counter German air operations.
