Latheronwheel Broch is an Iron Age defensive structure located in Caithness, northern Scotland. The broch stands approximately 450 metres south of Latheronwheel Bridge and dates to the later prehistoric period, likely between the 1st century BC and 1st century AD when such tower-like fortifications were constructed across northern Scotland. As a broch, the monument would have comprised a circular stone-built tower with hollow-wall construction, a design characteristic of this distinctive Scottish Iron Age monument type. The structure represents evidence of settlement and territorial control in the far north during the Iron Age, though its current state of preservation and specific dimensions require consultation of the monument record for detailed assessment.
