Midtown is a post-medieval farmstead and associated field system located approximately 800 metres south-east of Midtown in Kincardineshire, Scotland. The site comprises the remains of agricultural settlement and land division dating to the post-medieval period, reflecting the farming practices and landscape organisation of early modern rural Scotland. The field systems visible at the site demonstrate the spatial arrangement of cultivation and pastoral land typical of the period, whilst the farmstead itself represents the domestic and productive centre of a small agricultural holding. This monument contributes to the understanding of post-medieval settlement patterns and agrarian development in the north-east of Scotland.
