Newton of Drummy hut circles, located 200 metres north-north-west of Newton of Drummy in Aberdeenshire, is a prehistoric settlement comprising multiple circular stone-built structures. The site represents evidence of Iron Age or Bronze Age domestic occupation, with the hut circles displaying the characteristic stone-foundation remains typical of later prehistoric roundhouse settlements in northeast Scotland. The monument survives as low stone footings and rubble spreads marking the positions of former dwellings, providing archaeological testimony to the pattern of rural settlement in the region during the later prehistoric period. Such hut circle settlements are significant for understanding subsistence practices, settlement distribution, and social organisation in Iron Age Aberdeenshire.
